The longer version.
I am Ankush Srivastava, a first-year MSCS Align student at Northeastern, in Boston since early 2026. I came here to do research and to keep building.
The trajectory of my life has been shaped by access to knowledge. I grew up in a small town in India where curiosity was abundant but information was not. When our neighbourhood got one of the first internet connections through a government telecom line, I realised television was the tip of an iceberg. Most of what I wanted was online, in English, and rarely translated between regional languages. I learned English in a household where no one spoke it because it was the gate to the global exchange of ideas. Years later, I had the same realisation again, this time about AI. That is most of why I am here.
Before grad school I ran independent Shopify storefronts in India for two years. Cumulative sales of ₹20M (~$240K). That work taught me what coursework cannot: shipping is a habit, real users do not care about your stack, and the cost of a half-finished feature is paid every day until it is finished.
My recent work has spanned retrieval, agent systems, hardware, and signal processing. The through-line is the same across all of it: do the work end to end, ship to real users, let the result speak for itself. Scout.AI, ArcBeat, and SUPERAI are three of those bets. I am genuinely open across AI and computer science. Where I go next depends on the work and the people, not on a fixed area I have committed to.
I write in long form when something needs to hold together; in short form when it does not. Cold emails are welcome, especially from PIs and builders. The fastest way to reach me is srivastava.ank@northeastern.edu.
- 2026 →MSCS Align · Northeastern
First-year master's. Cycles split between coursework and shipping projects: Scout, ArcBeat, SUPERAI.
- 2026Scout.AI · ArcBeat
Scout shipped to production. ArcBeat moved from prototype to working hardware + dashboard.
- 2023 to 2025Founder · Shopify operator
Owned and operated independent Shopify storefronts in India for two years. Cumulative sales of ₹20M (~$240K). Closed deliberately when grad-school plans solidified.
- 2019 to 2023BBA Entrepreneurship · Amity University
Bachelor's in business administration, specialising in entrepreneurship and family business. Coursework in quantitative analysis, research methods, and digital operations. The technical instinct was already present; the degree gave it a market lens.

Got into building because no one around me was. Computers, web, design, sales, in roughly that order, none of it linear.
Or just go back home.
